Halloween Art and Tutorial

I love love the nail art!  Halloween is one of my favorite times to do holiday nails and they can get pretry elaborate. It doesn't have too!
I have had a pretty good last few weeks with some of my fun clients who love the art too.  Here are a few pictures from my clients who don't mind being models!

Start with a solid black or the darkest solid purple creme.

Use your dotter's largest and medium balls to make sets of eye whites in a white, glow in the dark or milk green.

Take your medium and small dotter balls and make pupils with your black or purple base color.....and voila!

You can do variations with red and yellow or green pupils to make all kinds of Monsters in the Dark!

Have fun and post pictures here or on my facebook page with you Halloween nails.

Posh to Meet You - When something good comes along

You guys may know as a nail tech I am almost as interested in the how and why of nail services as I am the ewws ans ahhs! I want my clients and well you to have healthy hands and feet as well as good services thay are worth them money. Hence, my obsession with hand creams!

About a month ago, I stumbled upon Perfectly Posh products at a fair. I had never tried anything from the line! I tried a few samples and purchased a Hand Creme.
This Big Fat Yummy Hand Creme was amazing.  It was so much richer the any lotiin I have found that doesn't have lanolin or petro product. Definitely not the watered down feeling you get from the nail industries hand lotions.  The best part- I got online and started researching to company. Its not just the BFYHC but all their products and natural and safe to use with acrylics and gel nail services and make your skin feel fantastic. You no longer have to wash your hands after rich body butters to prevent you nails from lifting!
I havent even started on the scents! But good golly!

Here is a little about the company:
*Pampering products Made in the USA
*Gentle, natural ingredients
*No parabens, paraffins, sulfates, lanolin, or fillers
*Lots of natural butters and essential oils
*Many vegan options
*No animal testing
*Use Essential Oil
*Flat rate shipping

I also like the clever names, cute packaging, and overall marketing of the product itself so I have decided to not only use in the salon but to sell it.

I am addicted to the Big Gat Yummy Hand Creme, Chunk Soap and face masks now.
You need to check out Perfectly Posh and since I know your love it I have a few incentives!

Fall / Winter Polishes for Everyone

After a long Summer, thankfully, Fall has most definitely arrived. Finally it's the season for pumpkin spice lattes, knits, and deeper polish shades. Let me help you pick your next CHILLY weather Manicure.

Here are my picks for the cooler weather polish colours.

Every season needs it's Red it's the color of couture. Whether you're a fire engine red girl  or deep burgundy gal, you can find the perfect red made for winter wardrobe. There are so many gorgeous rouge but I love these two.

(left to right: OPI's Lost on Bombard, CND Shellac's Wildfire)

Not you grandmother's colors but I promise once these polishes are on you'll never want to take them off. Because of their rich tones and dark shade they pass as a neutral and will go with anything

From left to right: Butter London- British Racing Green,  OPI's CIA- Color is Awesome, China Glaze's Jagged Little Teal

Beige, Tan, Taupe, no fall polish collection is complete  without  your basic  nudes and skin tones. They're a Fall classic. Perfect for an easy natural look and to keep your look fresh even in Winter with these warm tones.

(left to right: Zoya's Noah, Essie's Topless & Barefoot, CND Vinylux's  Field Fox, OPI's You Dont Know Jaques)

You can't go wrong with a grey. Sassy light and classy darks go with it all. Grey is the new....everything! Steels to charcoal cover all the basics. Its bold amd confident but never overstated.

(left to right, CND Vinylux's Silver Chrome, OPI's Dark Side of the Mood, CND Vinylux's Cityscape, China Glaze's Change Your Altitude)

Every palette has to have a metallic. The shine gives off the bling to make your nails jewels not just 'make-up' so match your mood not only your clothing.
